"Proud to be HOME Childcare Professionals"
Home childcare is one of the most important decisions you and your family can make. It is a service provided in a family-like setting creating that "at-home" feeling for infants, toddlers, pre-school age and school age children. These providers are often in your same neighborhood offering the proximity you need. Giving you the peace of mind that your child is in a loving caring home, sharing your values. Hours of operations can be flexible and tailored for each individual family.
Our
association members are all state registered, licensed, or listed childcare
providers, following the state requirements. Our providers reside in the Arlington,
Grand Prairie, Mansfield, and Kennedale area. It is to your best interest to verify the current
status and progress reports of each provider for your
child's
safety.
Where do we start?
You and your spouse have a difficult decision ahead of you. You want to make sure you are comfortable with the caregiver you choose, so take your time with the interview process. Remember that the providers are also interviewing your family for a good fit for their childcare program. Below are some questions you may want to use:
- what licensing and certificates do you hold?
- how long have you been in professional child care?
- do you have children of you own?
- do you leave the home to pick up other children?
>insurance?
>car seats? - do you have scheduled activities?
- do you have emergency procedures?
- what other adults will be around?
- do you have pets?
>are immunizations current? - daily schedules or curriculum? (not just academic, but life skills as well)
When do we start?
Each caregiver will have different openings throughout the year. It is probably a good practice to give you and your spouse time to go through the interviews and understand when the caregiver may have future openings.
